Since we celebrate winners at The Edge, let’s shout out Andy’s 68, which tied for low round of the Michigan PGA Section tournament Monday. His first tournament in 14 years was a success. U.S. Senior Open, here we come!
The Aftermath of an Instant Classic
Friend, I’ve not been this invested in one player’s round of golf since 1997. After watching McIlroy’s missed putt on the 72nd hole, I screamed “NO!!!!!” like I was watching a horror film. Then, the kid from Holywood, Northern Ireland gave us the Hollywood ending. This was riveting theater.
The golf skill shown was alternately sublime and horrendous. Andy and I put the day in full context in this video.
Emergency Podcast Tuesday
After Andy’s win Monday, we get back together to host a show on Tuesday. My tax accountant will hate the split focus, but a man has to have priorities. We will focus on your strategy, and how to play when the pressure is getting to you.

As the one who called Rory’s win last week, I’ll just leave this here…
That was one of the best days we’ve ever seen in golf. Our Majors Poker Leaderboard barely touches the story. Andy picked nearly half the Top 10 for his hand. But, high card wins in Majors Poker, and Scott had the Ace High with Rory’s win. We will talk about it with you Monday and Tuesday.
